Please congratulate ALL 9 members of the recent Fall 2009 Technician Class who passed their test on the first try! NOT ONLY THAT, but 5 of them went on to pass their General Class test!!! Please welcome them to the club. In addition, Larry Kemp KC5CZK W5LOK took and passed his General test!

Upcoming Class

Our next Technician Class will be held in the Spring of 2010 after the CERT class. The classes will be held on Wednesday evenings and are held at the North Richland Hills Fire Administration Building, 7202 Dick Fisher Drive, North Richland Hills, 76180 (See Map on Meeting Page).

The cost is $3.00 for the class and $14 cash for the exam, per student.  The book used is Gordon West's Technician Study Manual 2006 - 2010.  The books cost about $20.00, and are available at Fry's, or on-line at W5YI.  We will also be selling copies.  

For Technician classes, the first three Wednesdays and the beginning of the fourth Wednesday will be classes, teaching the more technical areas and reviewing the questions and answers in the book.  After the training, the final day will include a  review with the exam at the end. 

License Testing

We are prepared to hold testing sessions on a monthly basis on the Saturday after the club meeting.  If you are interested in obtaining a new or upgraded license, please contact one of our VECs Hugh Underwood (W5HAU) or Roger Courtney (N5RSC).
